Clawson, Mich., February 03, 2016 — International Bancard, an industry-leading credit card processing and payment acceptance solution provider, announced today that they are working with the Michigan Lottery to deploy a new payment solution to select Lottery retailers for the acceptance of credit cards for Lottery sales.

Lottery products may be purchased with credit cards and debit cards at retailers across the state. This pilot program will utilize International Bancard’s proprietary payment solution and point of sale equipment to create an efficient and effective purchase experience for customers and retailers. The pilot program is expected to help increase Lottery sales for participating retailers.

“International Bancard has worked closely with the Michigan Lottery to build and implement a payment acceptance solution that will help retailers increase Lottery sales,” said David Iafrate, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of International Bancard. “As a Michigan-based company, we are proud to work with and support the Michigan Lottery.”

Since it began in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $19.6 billion to support public education in Michigan. About 29 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery products goes to the state’s School Aid Fund.
