Diversity In Action
Walk around International Bancard’s Detroit headquarters and you’ll notice that we’re a diverse company. That’s no accident. International Bancard hires the most qualified people for our open positions based on the skills they bring and their willingness to be part of a growing, fast-paced company.
Bringing In The Best
Michelle joined IB in 2019. She’s a former Amazon microsite developer who launched multiple distribution sites in several countries. Her core expertise is process and procedure management, creating efficiencies through leadership development, training content, employee engagement, and fostering a sales forward culture. In her short time with International Bancard, Michelle has helped the company grow and improve exponentially by instituting company-wide communication platforms and procedures that are transparent, and easy to operate.
Upon joining IB, Michelle commented to her wife, she was pleased to feel welcomed and recognized as a valuable addition to the company. As a person of color, a woman, and member of the LGBTQ community, Michelle is particularly well positioned to recognize the blindspots and missed opportunities that make place for everyone at the table. Promoting an inclusive, welcoming, safe work environment should be the goal of every company. It takes work, a real willingness to listen, and the daily commitment to take action. Both Michelle and International Bancard are up for the challenge.
More Than Just Words
Detroit is a diverse city, just like Michigan is a diverse state. International Bancard is proud to be part of Detroit’s revitalization efforts and bright future. “IB in the D” is more than just a catchphrase, it’s a commitment to the people of Detroit and the businesses that are thriving here be they small, large, independently owned, non profits, or large corporations. We value our clients, partners, and employees...every one of them.
IB is a great company and we’re proud of who we are and what we’ve achieved. And there’s always more we can do.
International Bancard is making a modest donation to Covenant House, on behalf of Michelle.
